Do You Use Screening Questions on Your Job Application?

If you don’t you are missing out on a time savings.  Let’s back up a step.  Do you use an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)? If not, your efficiency in hiring could be improved.

Do you print out or have emails of your applicants floating around your desk or office? Are you sick of reading unqualified resumes? Do you want to take a peek at the applicants one of your hiring managers is reviewing?  Do you have nearly or more than 50 employees and need to prepare reports to meet regulations?  If so you need access to an applicant tracking system.

If you do have one, are you using it to the fullest?  Do you use questions that can automatically screen out applicants saving you time? Do the answers to the questions carry weighting of the best answer so you can rank the applicants based on how closely they match your needs?  All of these tools can save you time in recruiting and help get you the best hire possible.
